Hilltown woman accused of stealing more than $9K from construction company as a ‘bonus,’ charging Jersey Shore hotel stays to company card
Police allege former employee redirected business funds into personal bank account and used company Wex card for hotel stays, tobacco and other purchases

A Hilltown Township woman is accused of stealing more than $9,000 from a Bucks County construction company by allegedly diverting company funds into her personal bank account and using a business fuel card to pay for hotel stays and personal purchases.
Nadine Barnett, 41, of the 3300 block of School Road in Kintnersville, was charged April 8 with multiple felonies, including theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, unlawful use of a computer and computer trespass, according to charging documents filed by Hilltown Township Police.
The investigation began Aug. 27, 2025, when the owner of CTC Construction along Rickert Road in the Perkasie section of Hilltown Township, reported alleged thefts from the company by a recently terminated employee, police said.
According to the affidavit, representatives told investigators Barnett had been fired on July 23, 2025. After her termination, the business allegedly discovered that company money intended for bill payments had instead been transferred into Barnett’s personal bank account through the company’s QuickBooks accounting software.
Police alleged Barnett redirected $5,212.84 from company accounts without permission. Investigators later identified the bank account through a search warrant served on Wells Fargo, according to the complaint.
Police said Barnett later admitted during an interview that she considered the diverted money a “bonus.”
Investigators also accused Barnett of improperly using a company-issued Wex fuel card, which police said was intended solely for gasoline purchases connected to her employment.
According to court records, Barnett allegedly charged two separate hotel stays at the Jersey Shore to the company card, including a three-night stay at the ICONA Diamond Beach in Wildwood Crest on April 28, 2025, totaling $1,303.32, and a three-night stay at The Beach House in Ocean City, on July 14, 2025, totaling $2,620.21.
Police said investigators also uncovered additional unauthorized charges, including tobacco and miscellaneous purchases totaling $17.38 in February 2025 and $11.58 in April 2025. In total, authorities alleged Barnett improperly charged $3,952.49 to the company Wex card. Combined with the allegedly diverted company funds, police said the total loss to CTC Construction amounted to $9,165.33.
Barnett is free on $100,00 unsecured bail ahead of a June 2 preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage. She is represented by defense attorney Michael Kevin Parlow of Trevose.
