Perkasie Borough Council is seeking a Third Ward resident to fill a vacancy on council, with the selected candidate expected to serve through Dec. 31, 2027.
Officials said applicants must be registered voters living in the Third Ward to be considered for the appointment. The position offers residents an opportunity to take part in key municipal decisions, including budgeting, land development and community and economic initiatives.
Applications will be accepted at Borough Hall until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, with candidates scheduled to be interviewed publicly during that evening’s borough council meeting. Council is expected to make the appointment at the same meeting.
Anyone interested in serving beyond the initial appointment would need to run for election in 2027 to complete the remainder of the term.
Applications should be submitted in person at Borough Hall, with envelopes clearly marked “Council Application Enclosed.” Borough officials noted that information provided in applications may become public, and prospective candidates are encouraged to discuss any potential conflicts of interest with borough staff in advance.
