Customers of the Bucks County Water & Sewer Authority will soon see changes to how they pay their bills, as the utility prepares to launch a new online billing system aimed at improving service and payment options.
The authority announced that its updated customer billing platform will go live on May 12, 2026, allowing users to view bills and make payments through a redesigned online portal accessible via the BCWSA website.
As part of the transition, the current online payment system stopped accepting payments after April 30, and no online payments will be processed between until May 11. Officials said the temporary pause is necessary to complete the system upgrade.
When the new portal launches, customers will be required to re-enroll and update their billing information. The transition will also include a new account number and customer number, which must be used for all future payments. While the new account number will resemble the previous format, it will no longer include the hyphenated suffix.
Residents who use online banking or automatic bill pay services will need to update their payment details to avoid disruptions. However, officials noted that traditional payment methods, including paying by phone or mailing a check, will remain unchanged.
The authority said the new system is designed to offer more flexibility and improve the overall customer experience. Customer service representatives will be available to assist residents with the transition.
More information about the new billing system can be found on the BCWSA website.
