Motorists in Doylestown Township can expect delays this week as paving work forces daytime closures along a busy local roadway.
Police announced that New Britain Road will be closed between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. through Friday, May 8 for scheduled milling and paving operations. The closure will impact the stretch of road in the township, with drivers advised to seek alternate routes.
In addition, officials said there will be periodic traffic restrictions at the intersection of Route 202 (State Street) and New Britain Road as construction progresses.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible and allow extra travel time during the work period.
