Pennridge Regional Police responded to a reported threats investigation earlier this month after a dispute between a resident and utility workers in the northeastern part of East Rockhill Township.

Police said the incident occurred April 20 in the 7700 block of Richlandtown Road, when an employee with PP&L contacted authorities regarding a civil issue tied to electrical work at a property.

According to police, the employee reported that a disagreement arose after issues with the home’s electrical service, which the company said was not its responsibility.

During the dispute, the resident allegedly made threats toward the workers, and there were indications that a firearm may have been involved, police said.

Officers investigated the incident but were unable to confirm whether a firearm was present. Police determined the situation stemmed from a disagreement between the parties, and no charges were filed.

PP&L employees later returned to the property to retrieve equipment, including a trailer, without further incident, police said.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
