The New Britain Borough Zoning Hearing Board is set to revisit a proposal for a new billboard along East Butler Avenue during its May 28 meeting.
According to the Bucks County Herald, the project, requested by Interstate Outdoor Advertising L.P./ Princeton Holdings LLC, includes a request to amend prior plans to allow the structure to be placed within a nearby floodplain. The matter is a continuation of a previously scheduled hearing that had been postponed, per the report.
Borough Manager John W. Wolff told the newspaper that the billboard would be privately owned, noting the borough’s role is limited to zoning and permitting.
During a recent council meeting, resident Rachel Morgan raised concerns about inconsistencies in application documents, including missing forms and unclear signatures. She said she intends to be at the hearing.
Borough Solicitor Michael Peters responded that the applicants will need to demonstrate proper standing at the hearing.
