Warrington Township is turning one of its most popular parks into an open-air gallery this summer, inviting residents to experience art in a whole new way.
The township’s Art in the Park: Summer Sculpture Exhibition will run from May 15 through Aug. 15 at Lions Pride Park, featuring a collection of sculptures created by students and alumni of Bucks County Community College along the walking trails at the park.
The outdoor exhibition will showcase a range of works placed throughout the park’s 47-acre landscape, allowing visitors to encounter sculptures while walking trails, enjoying green space or gathering with family.
Organizers said the goal is to blend art with the natural environment while making public art more accessible to the community.
“This outdoor exhibition will feature student and alumni artwork … and will include an opportunity for the community to vote on one sculpture to become a permanent installation in the park,” said Alanna Moore, communications specialist for Warrington Township. “It’s a great way to bring public art into the community and get residents involved.”
Visitors will have the chance to vote on their favorite piece during the exhibition, with the winning sculpture set to be installed permanently at the park following the event.
Details on the selected works and voting will be released closer to the opening, with a final announcement planned as part of a closing reception in August.
Lions Pride Park, known for its inclusive, ADA-compliant design and mix of traditional and sensory-based experiences, offers a fitting backdrop for the exhibition. With features like walking trails, open fields and interactive elements, the park has long served as a hub for community activity — and this summer, it will double as a canvas for creativity.
