A Doylestown Borough man facing a felony charge for his 4th DUI and a misdemeanor charge of lying to police after allegedly crashing a pickup truck in Warrington Township earlier this year heads to Bucks County court after all charges were held at a preliminary hearing this month.
Joseph Nicklas Tomasovic, 37, of the 90th block of S. Clinton Street, is also charged with summary driving offenses, including driving within a single lane, and driving while operating privileges were suspended or revoked, per court records.
The charges stem from a one-vehicle crash on Nov. 12, 2025, around 2:30 p.m. on the 2400 block of Kelly Road, where responding officers found a blue Dodge Ram with heavy disabling front-end damage.
According to the affidavit, police were initially provided false and misleading information regarding who was behind the wheel. Surveillance footage later identified Tomasovic as the driver, investigators said.
Police allege Tomasovic showed signs of impairment, including glassy eyes and the odor of alcohol, and did not successfully complete field sobriety testing. He was taken into custody at 2:52 p.m. and later refused a blood draw after being read implied-consent warnings, the affidavit said.
Police said Tomasovic has three prior DUI convictions, with the fourth an automatic felony, and was operating under DUI-related license suspension at the time of the crash.
Tomasovic is released on his own recognizance without bail. A formal arraignment is set for May 8 in Common Pleas Court.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
