A Warminster man who worked for nearly 40 years as a Catholic school teacher and also volunteered as a youth coach will be sentenced in federal court Tuesday to 90 months in federal prison - or 7.5 years - after admitting to possessing and receiving child pornography.

Richard Adamsky, 66, of Warminster, pleaded guilty in December 2025 in the U.S. District Court of Eastern District of Pennsylvania to one count of receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Adamsky will be on 10 years of supervised probation after release and he was ordered by U.S. District Judge Gerald J. Pappert to pay a $30,000 fine, $38,000 in victim restitution, a $10,000 assessment by the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act, and a $20,000 assessment under the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act.

The FBI arrested Adamsky before his preliminary hearing in Bucks County district court last year.

Adamsky was indicted in September 2025 for knowingly receiving a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct on or about June 15, 2024.

PHILADELPHIA – United States Attorney David Metcalf announced that Richard Adamsky, 66, of Warminster, Pennsylvania, was sentenced today to 90 months in prison and 10 years of supervised release by United States District Judge Gerald J. Pappert for child pornography offenses. Judge Pappert also ordered Adamsky to pay a $30,000 fine, $38,000 in victim restitution, a $10,000 Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act assessment, and a $20,000 assessment under the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act.

Additionally, Adamsky possessed two computers and two flash drives containing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. These depictions included prepubescent minors and minors under 12 years of age.

At the time of his arrest, Adamsky had been a 7th and 8th grade teacher at Nativity of Our Lord grade school in Warminster, where he had taught for the last 38 years.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.

Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.

The case was investigated by FBI Philadelphia’s Fort Washington Resident Agency, the Warminster Township Police Department, Upper Merion Township Police Department, and Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Maureen McCartney.

The investigation began on March 30, 2025, when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported possible downloading or obtaining of CSAM, according to authorities.

CMEC's report indicated that an image depicting a prepubescent female posing nude with her genitals exposed was uploaded using Microsoft Bing Reverse Image Search via an IP address, detectives said.

Further investigation traced the IP address to Verizon, which provided subscriber information leading to Adamsky, police said.

During questioning, Adamsky allegedly admitted to authorities that for about four to five years, he had been searching for, downloading, and saving hundreds of images depicting CSAM to his computer.

When asked how many he saved, he replied “too many,” according to the criminal complaint.

Adamsky taught and coached youth consistent with the age group depicted in the illicit images found on his devices, authorities said.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
