A Camden, NJ man is facing three felony charges after allegedly posing as a Warrington Township homeowner to intercept a UPS delivery containing nearly $4,000 worth of iPhones.

Miguel Angel Lopez Sanchez, 25, of the 1000 block of North 35th Street, was charged with theft of mail, theft by deception and receiving stolen property in connection with the Feb. 17, 2026 incident at a home on the 1800 block of Fox Run Terrace, according to court documents.

Police said the victim had ordered four Apple iPhones — two iPhone 17 Pro models and two iPhone 17 models — valued at $3,859.96, which were reported delivered but never received.

According to the affidavit, a UPS driver told investigators that a man later identified as Lopez Sanchez approached him, claimed to be the resident and provided a tracking number before meeting the driver at the delivery address.

There, the suspect allegedly showed identification bearing the victim’s last name but his own photo, convincing the driver to hand over the package.

Surveillance footage reviewed by police showed a gray 2013 Ford Fusion with tinted windows waiting for and then following the UPS truck to the residence. Investigators later determined the vehicle was registered to Lopez Sanchez, linking him to the incident, according to the complaint.

Authorities also tied Lopez Sanchez to a similar attempted package theft in Doylestown Borough one day earlier, where another UPS driver became suspicious and refused to release a delivery. Both drivers later identified Lopez Sanchez in a photo lineup, police said.

The investigation further connected Lopez Sanchez to a separate package theft in Berks County on March 12, 2026, with detectives there filing additional charges. According to court records, he is awaiting a preliminary hearing on April 7 in Maidencreek Township on the same exact charges filed by Warrington Police, and is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.

Following his arrest, police said Lopez Sanchez admitted to the Warrington theft, the attempted Doylestown incident and the Berks County case after waiving his Miranda rights.

As of March 25, the victim had not received replacement devices or reimbursement for the stolen phones, according to the affidavit.

Lopez Sanchez is free on $100,000 unsecured bail, ahead of an April 20 preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
