A Richland Township woman is facing felony charges after police said she was caught on surveillance video stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from a Home Depot store in Hilltown Township.
Christina Eileen Casey, 34, of the 100 block of Union Road, has been charged with felony retail theft and receiving stolen property following an investigation into a Feb. 27, 2026 incident at the Home Depot along Route 113 in Hilltown Township, according to court documents.
Hilltown Township Police said the investigation began March 6 when officers were called to the store for a reported retail theft that had already occurred.
An asset protection specialist provided investigators with surveillance footage and documentation related to the incident, which allegedly showed Casey leaving the store with a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise totaling $1,012.43.
According to the affidavit, cameras captured Casey arriving at the store around 9:53 a.m. in a silver 2018 Nissan Rogue, parking at the far end of the lot despite closer spaces being available.
Police said Casey then spent about 40 minutes inside the store, placing items including household goods, tools and battery-operated equipment into a shopping cart before pushing it past all points of sale without paying around 10:46 a.m.
Investigators said Casey appeared to be wearing a disguise during the theft, including a black wig, a long red shirt or dress, an oversized tan coat and carrying a large multi-colored bag.
Once outside, surveillance footage allegedly showed Casey running through the parking lot toward her vehicle, leaving the cart behind. The vehicle then pulled closer, and the contents of the cart were loaded inside.
Police said Casey was seen exiting from the passenger side of the vehicle, leading investigators to believe another person was driving.
The affidavit identifies a suspected male accomplice, though that individual has not been charged.
As part of the investigation, police conducted a follow-up interview with a family member, who identified both the vehicle and items seen in surveillance images.
Officers were also granted access to a storage shed on the property, where they located empty boxes matching merchandise reported stolen from the store, according to the affidavit.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
