The Perkasie Owls Club, Nest 1224, is gearing up for a busy spring season of community events, highlighted by an Easter Bunny breakfast, weekly public dinners, trivia nights and yoga sessions.
Located at 602 Elm Ave. in Perkasie, the private club regularly opens its doors to the public for select meals and special events designed to bring residents together while supporting charitable causes.
Easter Bunny breakfast planned April 5
One of the upcoming highlights is the club’s Easter Sunday Breakfast on April 5, when families can enjoy a morning meal and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
The breakfast runs 8 a.m. to noon and is open to the public. Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children, with coffee or tea included. Additional beverages, including cocktails such as mimosas, will be available for purchase.
The monthly breakfast is part of the club’s First Sunday Breakfast series, which runs from October through May.
Guests can choose from several breakfast favorites, including:
The Hen House
From the Griddle
The Gravy Station
Breakfast meats include sausage, bacon or scrapple, with a selection of juices also available.
Organizers note that half of the tips from the breakfast go to charity, while the other half supports the club’s Ladies Auxiliary.
Friday dinners open to the public
In addition to breakfast events, the club welcomes the public each week for Friday night dinners from 5 to 9 p.m.
Recent specials include dishes such as pork chops with bacon apple and gouda, seafood lasagna, slow-roasted pork with sauerkraut and pierogies, and flame-broiled Delmonico steak. Previous specials have featured items like filet mignon ambassador, veal marsala over parmesan risotto, shrimp alfredo, and pork ragu over linguini.
Along with weekly specials, the kitchen also serves a casual menu that includes cheeseburgers, cheesesteaks, wings, chicken fingers, pierogies, mozzarella sticks, fried shrimp baskets, pot stickers and cheesesteak egg rolls, as well as a kids menu with items like grilled cheese and French bread pizza.
Trivia night and cheesesteaks March 18
Another public event planned this month is Cheesesteaks and Trivia Night on Wednesday, March 18.
Cheesesteaks — with a choice of beef or chicken — will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. for $8, while trivia begins at 7 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m.
The trivia competition will feature six rounds with prizes awarded for each round, along with a grand prize for the team with the highest total score. One round will feature an audio music theme.
Community yoga sessions
The club also hosts yoga sessions with Nikki MIchener open to the public on the second and fourth Sundays of each month from 10 to 11 a.m.
Upcoming sessions include March 22, April 12 and April 26. The cost is $10, payable by cash or Venmo, and participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat. Pre-registration is encouraged.
Organizers say the club’s public events provide an opportunity for residents to enjoy a meal, participate in activities and learn more about the organization.
Those interested in membership can speak with a bartender or current member during public events.
