Doylestown Borough Director of Parks and Recreation Caitlin Hernandez has been selected as a 2026 Phyllis Lieberman Women’s Trailblazer Scholarship recipient, recognizing her leadership in municipal government.
The scholarship program, administered by Delaware Valley Trusts, highlights women working in local government and supports their continued professional development.
Hernandez is one of three municipal leaders across the region selected for the 2026 award. Each recipient receives $2,000 to help offset costs tied to professional associations or further education.
The scholarship was established in 2018 to honor Phyllis Lieberman, a respected municipal leader whose career was defined by public service and dedication to local government leadership.
Other recipients this year include Sara Jarrett-Eaton, borough manager for Souderton, and Amanda Fean, assistant township manager for Upper Merion Township.
In announcing the awards, Delaware Valley Trusts said the program recognizes the passion, dedication and leadership demonstrated by women serving communities through local government while helping support their continued growth in the field.
