DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH BUSINESSES

Historic Josiah Shaw House reopens in Doylestown as coworking social club

NXT250 WORX launches in 225-year-old Main Street property with focus on connection, community

A historic building in the heart of Doylestown has been given new life as a modern gathering space for professionals.

The Josiah Shaw House at 43 South Main St. officially reopened March 9 as NXT250 WORX, a social club and coworking hub designed for remote workers, entrepreneurs and professionals seeking community and collaboration.

The 225-year-old property, once known as The Community House, is being reintroduced as a place where people can work, meet and build connections across Bucks County.

Founder Jeremy Victor, an entrepreneur and author of "The More Effect: The Leadership Field-Guide for an AI-First, Always-On World," said the concept was created in response to changes in the workplace as remote and hybrid work become more common. NXT250 WORX is intended to function as a modern “third place,” a space that sits somewhere between home and the traditional office where professionals can work while remaining part of a local community.

The space features flexible coworking areas, modular workspaces and programming designed to encourage collaboration, professional development and entrepreneurial support.

Membership options are available for professionals with different work arrangements, and a portion of membership dues will support local initiatives through NXT250 Commons.

Beginning Thursday, the organization will host Open WORX Days on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the spring, offering free access for professionals who want to try the space and meet other members.

The club also offers partnerships with local businesses through a member discount program and provides opportunities for entrepreneurs to develop new ventures through its Shaw–Swartzlander Entrepreneur-in-Residence program.

The initiative also includes a schedule of upcoming events, including a Wine & Cheese Happy Hour Book TALX on March 28 at Wheat & Vine Provisions and “The Principles of MORE” TALX on April 21 at Barnes & Noble Doylestown.

Later this spring, a series called BORO TALX will begin at the Main Street location featuring conversations with local leaders focused on business, leadership and the evolving role of technology.

Organizers say the goal of the project is to preserve the building’s long-standing role as a gathering place while adapting it to modern professional life.

Tours of NXT250 WORX and founding membership opportunities are currently available by appointment at the Main Street location.
