A driver was transported from the scene of a crash Thursday afternoon by Warrington Community Ambulance Corps after their box truck crashed into a utility pole in Warrington Township.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. to the 2100 block of Bristol Road for a reported vehicle accident with entrapment, according to county dispatch information.
First responders arrived to find a driver of a box truck from Star Penn Pool Service had struck a utility pole, with the driver reportedly unconscious inside the vehicle.
Emergency personnel worked to assist the driver from the vehicle before transporting by ambulance to a nearby hospital, according to reports from the scene.
Due to the crash and damage to the utility pole, Bristol Road was closed between Easton Road and Palomino Drive while first responders handled the incident and cleared the roadway.
Additional details about the driver’s condition and the cause of the crash were not immediately available Thursday afternoon.
Warrington Fire, Warrington Police and Warwick Police responded to the scene.
