An Allentown man is facing felony charges after investigators linked him to a burglary and stolen dirt bike taken from a Hilltown Township property in 2024, according to court documents.

Joshua Joel Walker, 20, of the 200 block of East Union Street in Allentown, has been charged with felony counts of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, theft by unlawful taking, and conspiracy to commit theft, and misdemeanor criminal mischief and corruption of minors in connection with the July 31, 2024 incident at a property on Green Street in Hilltown Township, according to charging documents.

Hilltown Township Police were dispatched around 1:58 a.m. to the property after the homeowner reported suspicious activity and observed multiple people on his security cameras. Officers arriving at the scene found shattered glass at the main door of a detached garage and blood in several areas around the entry and inside the building.

The victim reported that his Husqvarna 125 dirt bike had been stolen from inside the garage, according to the complaint.

Investigators collected multiple blood samples from the scene and submitted them to the Pennsylvania State Police crime lab. According to the affidavit, the DNA profile matched Anthony Otero Jr., who was already listed in the Combined DNA Index System.

During a later interview with detectives, Otero admitted involvement in the burglary and told investigators that Walker had driven the group to the property and picked them up afterward, according to the complaint.

Police also determined that Walker was operating a black Toyota sedan that had been stopped by officers in Upper Saucon Township shortly after the burglary. Body camera footage from the traffic stop allegedly showed Otero in the back seat while Walker was driving the vehicle.

The investigation continued for several months before charges were filed. Detectives later contacted Walker and arranged for him to surrender to authorities for processing and arraignment in early March, according to the affidavit.
