Firefighters from multiple departments battled a large barn fire early Tuesday morning in Bedminster Township that ultimately resulted in the structure collapsing.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to the 1000 block of Landis Rush Drive after reports of a barn on fire. Neighbors in the area reported hearing several explosions as flames intensified during the blaze.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire conditions and began an extended suppression effort that continued into the morning hours. Officials reported that by about 4:58 a.m. much of the fire had been knocked down, though crews remained on scene awaiting heavy equipment to assist with overhaul operations.
As the morning progressed, the barn suffered a total collapse, prompting firefighters to return to the scene around 10:15 a.m. to address remaining hazards and hot spots. Crews also checked the property for animals while working to ensure the area was safe.
Fire companies from Dublin and Quakertown were among those assisting at the scene. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
This is a developing story.
