A mother and longtime educator was identified as one of the victims of this week’s triple-homicide in Northampton Township.

Deborah Castiglia, 53, of Plumstead Township, was found dead in her parents’ home on Heather Road Monday after her brother engaged in an hours-long standoff with law enforcement. Frederick, 90, and Judith Castiglia, 84, were also found deceased in the home.

Kevin Carl Castiglia, 55, who also lived at the Heather Road home with his elderly parents, was charged Tuesday evening with the killings of his three family members. He was held without bail.

Deborah Castiglia was a Council Rock High School graduate and has an adult daughter, according to several people who knew her.

According to public records, Deborah Castiglia, who previously had the last name of Feinberg, had lived in Bristol Township’s Croydon section before moving to Central Bucks County.

According to the Centennial School District, which employed Deborah Castiglia, she began working as a middle school math teacher at Klinger Middle School in Upper Southampton Township in 1999. She took a position teaching math at William Tennent High School in Warminster Township in 2018.

Deborah Castiglia also coached girls’ volleyball and softball during her career.

Superintendent Dr. Abram Lucabaugh said at a Tuesday school board committee meeting that Deborah Castiglia “taught with tremendous care and compassion.”

Centennial School District administrators met with Klinger and Tennent staff Tuesday. Students were not in the buildings due to the weather.

Students will return to school on Wednesday and the district will have counseling and support services on hand.

“We will continue to wrap our community with support,” Lucabaugh said.
