A Central Bucks graduate is suddenly in the national coaching spotlight.
Grant Udinski, a CB West High School Class of 2014 alum and current offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, has emerged as a candidate for the Cleveland Browns’ head coaching job, according to WFMZ.
Udinski, 30, completed a first-round interview with Cleveland over the weekend and is expected to travel to the team’s headquarters for a second interview after a three-hour Zoom meeting on Friday, according to reports.
Now, news from NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero on Twitter on Tuesday states that the Buffalo Bills requested an interview with Udinski for their head coaching job.
Udinski just wrapped up his first season in Jacksonville, where he helped guide one of the NFL’s most productive offenses. The Jaguars ranked among the league’s top units in scoring and total offense, with quarterback Trevor Lawrence accounting for 38 total touchdowns. Jacksonville finished 13–4, captured the AFC South title, and advanced to the playoffs before falling to Buffalo in the wild-card round.
A fast-rising coach, Udinski began his NFL career in Carolina before spending three seasons with Minnesota in a variety of offensive roles, including assistant offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Cleveland is the only team known to have interviewed Udinski so far as it searches for a new head coach following the firing of Kevin Stefanski earlier this month.
