The restaurant will be among the first tenants to commit to new dining and retail space planned for the former Regal Cinema portion of the shopping center

Plans for a new restaurant and bar at the Barn Plaza on Easton Road moved forward last month after the Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an inter-municipal liquor license transfer tied to the project.

The license will be transferred from New Hope to Burtons Grill & Bar of Doylestown, clearing a key regulatory hurdle for the restaurant’s planned opening at 1745 South Easton Road.

The restaurant will be among the first tenants to commit to new dining and retail space planned for the former Regal Cinema portion of the shopping center, which is owned by Brixmor.

When completed, the Burtons location is expected to span about 6,200 square feet and include:

  • Seating for roughly 140 diners indoors
  • A 32-seat bar
  • An outdoor patio with approximately 75 additional seats
  • About 75 employees, most in part-time roles

Burtons Grill & Bar, which recently opened its first Pennsylvania location in Wayne, describes itself as a polished yet approachable American dining concept offering scratch-made meals, a curated wine and craft beer list, specialty cocktails, and mocktails.

The brand is particularly known for accommodating food allergies and dietary restrictions, including a dedicated gluten-free menu and mandatory allergy training for staff. Company officials said each location emphasizes community engagement and aims to deliver a welcoming, family-oriented dining experience.
