The Pipersville Free Library has reopened at a temporary location in Bedminster while its historic 19th-century chapel on Old Easton Road remains closed for major structural repairs.

According to the Bucks County Herald, library leaders are now asking the community for financial help to ensure its long-term future.

The all-volunteer library, which has operated since 1966 in the former chapel, launched a $100,000 fundraising campaign to cover renovations that include foundation repairs, new flooring, wall stabilization, and a new roof.

The library relies entirely on donations to operate.

Library director Annette Garnick said the building was closed in October after engineers determined the floor and foundation were unsafe, prompting the move to a temporary home at 1806 Deep Run Road, Suite A, in Bedminster Township.

Donate via check payable to Pipersville Free Library and mailed to the library at P.O. Box 122, Pipersville, PA 18947, or donate via PayPal here.

Operating hours are Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesday and Friday, 3-5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is closed on Sunday and Monday.
