Last Chance Ranch Animal Rescue in Upper Bucks County will be able to do some major equipment purchases and emergency medical care upgrades, thanks to a $50,000 grant from Foxwynd Foundation

Of the grant amount, $10,000 will be earmarked for surgery, hospitalization, and treatment of animals, with about $15,000 each going toward replacement of an aging John Deere Gator farm device, and toward hay and grain for nutrition and warmth for equines and other animals.

The new grant comes on the heels of a $35,000 grant awarded in 2024 for medical care and equipment.

The 2026 grant will fund key initiatives essential to LCR’s operations, including:

Last Chance Ranch will also apply grant funds to cover vaccines and treatments for animals entering care and fore spay and neuter surgery costs.

“This grant reflects our ongoing partnership with Last Chance Ranch and supports their mission to provide urgent care and stability for animals in need,” said Pamela Villagra, executive director of Foxwynd Foundation. “We are proud to continue supporting their work and to help enhance the health and well-being of the animals in their care.”

According to Foxwynd Foundation, the grant was awarded through a Donor Advised Fund.

Last Chance Ranch, on Beck Road in Quakertown, saves lives by giving abandoned, abused, and neglected animals a second chance through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. It also provides hands-on education and community programs to empower people of all ages to make a difference for animals in need.
