Two Bucks County dwelling fires blaze at same time Sunday night, burn victims transported

The fires were reported on South Park Road in Nockamixon Township near Ottsville and on Keystone Drive in Hilltown Township

Two separate dwelling fires that broke out around the same time and were reported within minutes of each other late Sunday night in Bucks County resulted in transports of at least two burn victims, according to emergency dispatch reports.

Nockamixon Township fire

Firefighters were dispatched just after 10 p.m. to a single-family dwelling fire with reported entrapment in the 4400 block of South Park Road in Nockamixon Township near Ottsville.

Crews arriving on scene reported heavy fire showing and confirmed that at least one victim was located inside the structure. Ladder 49 (Ottsville Fire Co.) was reported to have removed the victim from the exterior side of the building.

    
    

Due to fire conditions, evacuation orders were issued for emergency personnel at one point during the incident. A tanker task force was requested, with multiple additional tankers added to support suppression efforts. Two fire lines were placed in service, and the bulk of the fire was knocked down before 11:10 p.m., and brought under control shortly thereafter.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Responding units included Ottsville Fire Co., Point Pleasant Fire Co., Delaware Valley Fire Co., Plumsteadville Fire Co., Perkasie Fire Co., Springtown Fire Co., Dublin Fire Co., Community Fire Co. No. 1, Warminster Fire Co., Hilltown Township Fire Co., and Haycock Fire Co., per dispatch reports.

Hilltown Township fire

At about 10:26 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to a dwelling fire in the 2000 block of Keystone Drive in Hilltown Township following multiple 911 calls reporting a house on fire.

First-arriving units reported an attached garage well involved, with live power lines down in the yard and a reported fuel tank rupture along the side of the building, according to reports on scene.

    


One person was transported to St. Luke’s Grand View Hospital for treatment of burn injuries, according to dispatch information.

The Hilltown Township fire was reported under control at about 11:04 p.m. 

Responding Montgomery County agencies included VMSC Emergency Medical Services, Colmar Fire Co., Perseverance Fire Co. of Souderton, Towamencin Fire Co., Hatfield Fire Co., and Harleysville Fire Co. 

Both incidents remain under investigation by local fire officials. No additional details on the identities or conditions of the injured individuals were released as of publication.
