Two Philadelphia men initially charged in an October stolen vehicle and gun case in New Britain Borough saw most of their original charges withdrawn or dismissed at their recent preliminary hearings, though both still face felony firearm and stolen property counts.
At his January preliminary hearing, felony possession of a firearm by a prohibited individual, felony receiving stolen property, misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor marijuana possession, misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime with intent to use, and misdemeanor making repairs to or selling an offensive weapon were all withdrawn against Ubaidullah Ibraheem Muhammad, per court records.
However, Muhammad, 24, who has a laundry list of criminal court proceedings, was arraigned Feb. 10 on felony receiving stolen property and felony carrying firearms without a license.
He remains jailed in Bucks County Prison on 10% of $100,000 cash bail. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for March 23. He is represented by the Bucks County Public Defender’s Office.
At his preliminary hearing, all charges were dismissed against Hudhaifa Yasir Muhammad, 22, including felony receiving stolen property, felony illegal possession of a firearm, misdemeanor receiving stolen property, misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime with intent, misdemeanor marijuana possession, misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and misdemeanor making repairs to or selling an offensive weapon.
Hudhalfa Muhammad was subsequently arraigned Feb. 10 on felony receiving stolen property and felony carrying firearms without a license.
He was released after posting 10% of $100,000 cash bail and is represented by Chalfont attorney Harry Cooper. His pre-trial hearing is also set for March 23.
The case stems from an Oct. 14, 2025 incident in New Britain Borough.
According to authorities, Central Bucks Regional Police were alerted by a license plate reader to a red Honda Accord reported stolen from Philadelphia. The vehicle was later located at CoPart along the 70th block of Bristol Road.
Police alleged Ubaidullah Muhammad was seated in the driver’s seat and in possession of marijuana and a car key fob. Hudhaifa Muhammad was found inside the business and also allegedly had a similar key fob.
A search of the Honda reportedly uncovered multiple packages of marijuana, three car key fobs and a loaded Ruger SR-40 handgun later confirmed stolen from Philadelphia, according to the affidavit.
Bail was initially set at 10% of $200,000 cash each and later reduced to 10% of $100,000 cash by order of the Court of Common Pleas.
Hudhaifa Muhammad is also engaged in a separate East Norriton Township case involving 12 felony charges, including identity theft and access device fraud, according to court records.
