Warminster Police seek suspect in $1,000 retail theft attempt

Man allegedly concealed clothing, meat and television before leaving store on foot

  • Public Safety

Warminster Township police are investigating a retail theft attempt involving more than $1,000 in merchandise at a business along East Street Road earlier this month.

Officers responded Feb. 9 to 100 E. Street Road for a report of a theft in progress. Prior to police arrival, Bucks County Radio Room advised that the suspect had left on foot toward a nearby bus stop, according to police.

Store employees told officers an unidentified male selected multiple clothing items, meat products and a television, allegedly placing the merchandise inside black trash bags.

The total value of the items was $1,024.54, police said.

When approached after passing all points of sale without paying, the man reportedly stated, “I didn’t steal anything,” before leaving the store on foot without the merchandise.

Police described the suspect as a Black male in his 50s or 60s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing black pants, a tan or brown winter coat, a light-colored or white hat and a gray beard.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Officer Fox at 215-443-5000 or [email protected]

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
