Warrington native Andrew Heo, 24, is heading into the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics as one of the United States’ top short track speedskaters, already a two-time Olympian and recent World Tour gold medalist.
The son of South Korean immigrants, Heo, according to the Bucks County Herald, made his Olympic debut in Beijing in 2022 and has since built momentum with a world championship bronze in the mixed relay and a World Tour win in the 500-meter, positioning himself as a serious contender on the international stage.
Off the ice, Heo balances elite competition with a strong academic and creative background, having graduated from the University of Utah and pursued music alongside training.
As he prepares for his second Games, Heo has spoken about the pride and responsibility of representing the United States, embracing both the pressure and the opportunity that come with competing at the highest level. Short track events begin Feb. 10 and run through Feb. 20.
