Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick announced Friday that he has secured more than $27.5 million in federal funding for 11 community projects across Pennsylvania’s First Congressional District as part of the House-passed fiscal year 2026 bipartisan spending package.

The funding comes through the Community Project Funding process and targets locally identified priorities, including public safety, infrastructure, environmental protection and community services. Since fiscal year 2022, Fitzpatrick said he has helped deliver more than $80 million in federal support for district-based projects.

“Every project included here began with a conversation in the community,” Fitzpatrick said in a statement, noting collaboration with local officials, first responders and nonprofit leaders to identify needs where federal dollars could have the greatest impact.

Several projects in the North Penn and Central Bucks region are included in the latest round of funding.

In Bucks County, $2 million is earmarked to complete the restoration and expansion of Boone Farm into the African American Community Center of Bucks County. The project is designed to create a permanent space for education, civic engagement and cultural programming, while also supporting partnerships among community groups, educators and public safety agencies.

Another $2.1 million will support a Bucks County public safety initiative focused on coordination between Human Services, the Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office. The funding will help expand a co-responder program pairing law enforcement with clinically trained professionals, invest in license plate reader technology to aid investigations and modernize digital case management systems for prosecutors.

In Central Bucks, Doylestown Township will receive $1 million for streetscape and access improvements tied to its Community Recreation Center. The project includes construction of a new parking facility aimed at supporting increased use of the center for youth programs, senior services and large community events, while improving traffic flow and accessibility.

Hatfield Borough is set to receive $1 million to replace aging stormwater and sanitary sewer infrastructure beneath heavily traveled roads. Borough officials said deteriorating pipes have posed safety risks and contributed to stormwater infiltration that can overwhelm sewer systems during severe weather. The upgrades are intended to reduce flooding risk, prevent sewer overflows and protect roadway stability.

Fitzpatrick said the projects reflect a focus on practical, on-the-ground needs. As the federal spending package advances, local governments and partner organizations will move forward with planning and implementation.
