Area diners can turn a steak dinner into a charitable act Monday as several local Texas Roadhouse restaurants take part in a nationwide fundraiser supporting the American Tinnitus Association.
The chain announced that on Monday, participating locations will donate 100 percent of their profits to the organization as part of a Dine-to-Donate initiative held during Tinnitus Awareness Week. The effort honors the legacy of Texas Roadhouse founder Kent Taylor.
Locally, residents can participate by dining at:
Company leaders said the fundraiser continues Taylor’s commitment to helping others. CEO and President Jerry Morgan said supporting the American Tinnitus Association reflects the brand’s dedication to raising awareness about tinnitus, prevention efforts, and ways people can manage the condition.
Tinnitus affects more than 26 million adults in the United States. Often described as ringing in the ears, it can also sound like buzzing, hissing, whistling, swooshing, or clicking. It is the perception of sound without an external source.
Patrick A. Lynch, CEO of the American Tinnitus Association, said the partnership helps fund research, expand public education, and remind people living with tinnitus that they are not alone.
Texas Roadhouse, founded in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1993, now operates hundreds of restaurants nationwide. Monday’s fundraiser gives local families a simple way to support a national health cause while dining close to home.
