Demolition has been completed at the corner of West State and North Franklin streets in Doylestown Borough, clearing the way for a previously approved retail redevelopment project.
The former sites of Striker Soccer and Repco Auto Parts — both vacant for several years — have been razed, along with an associated residential structure on the property.
The work prepares the parcels for construction of a new retail building totaling about 6,000 square feet, according to property owner Worth & Worth LLC.
Plans for the project were approved by Doylestown Borough Council in September 2025, allowing for the consolidation of the properties and development of a three-unit retail building within the borough’s Central Commercial zoning district.
The design includes pedestrian access along West State Street and a rear parking area accessed from North Franklin Street via an existing alleyway.
Project representatives previously said the goal is to attract long-term tenants such as retail boutiques or professional offices, aligning with the borough’s vision for the area.
Construction is expected to follow once all remaining pre-construction requirements and conditions tied to the approval are satisfied.
