A Pennridge High School graduate is playing a role in NASA’s Artemis II mission, marking a milestone both for the space program and the local community.
Hope Glendenning, a member of the Class of 2020, now works as an electrical manufacturing engineer with Lockheed Martin Space. In that role, she supports systems integration and testing for the Orion spacecraft at Kennedy Space Center.
Following her graduation from Drexel University, Glendenning joined the aerospace team working on the mission, which is part of NASA’s effort to return astronauts to the moon.
In a recent reflection, she credited her support system and prior hands-on experience for helping shape her path into the field, as the Pennridge community celebrated her involvement in the high-profile project.
