A well-known restaurant next to the Doylestown Train Station has reopened under new ownership and a refreshed identity.
Now operating as “The Station Doylestown,” the restaurant formerly known as The Frieght House nightclub, began limited service with dinner and bar hours on April 2 as it ramps up operations, per the Bucks County Herald. The business had previously operated for more than a decade as The Station Tap House.
The new ownership group brings experience from several restaurants across Montgomery and Delaware counties, with a focus on Italian cuisine. The updated menu includes a mix of small plates, sandwiches and larger entrees, along with a cocktail list inspired by the restaurant’s rail-side location.
The 8,500-square-foot space, known for its patio views of passing SEPTA trains, is expected to expand hours later this month as operations fully reopen.
Dinner is available only at the new venue through April 12. Lunch service begins April 14. Closed Mondays.
The restaurant is at 194 W. Ashland St., Doylestown and can be reached at 215-348-1663.
