Two people were rescued from an overturned vehicle in the woods off Forest Road in West Rockhill Township Friday evening.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 7:21 p.m. to the area of Forest Road and Bethlehem Pike for an auto rescue. Initial reports indicated a single vehicle off the roadway and on its side in a wooded area, with two occupants trapped inside.
Firefighters from Sellersville and Perkasie arrived to find a blue sedan overturned in the woods between Bethlehem Pike and Old Bethlehem Pike. Crews stabilized the vehicle and began extrication efforts, removing the front windshield to access the occupants.
The first patient was freed at 7:36 p.m., with the second extricated about a minute later. Both individuals were able to be removed safely, and initial reports indicated no apparent injuries.
Forest Road was closed between Bethlehem Pike and Old Bethlehem Pike during the incident. EMS units from St. Luke’s Grand View Hospital responded but were ultimately declined.
The cause of the crash was not immediately available.
