Kingdom Patrons, Inc. announced that Phase 2 of its Community Partners Impact Initiative at the historic Glassworks Campus in Perkasie has been approved for $1.6 million through the Commonwealth’s Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) at a recent groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, March 19.

In collaboration with 37+ generous local businesses, including Berks Ridge Company, Summit Financial Group, Integrated Security, Bergey’s Chevrolet, Clemens Food Group, Harleysville Bank, American Safety Clothing, QNB Bank and MJ Real Estate Management, this approval underscores Kingdom Patrons’ commitment to transforming communities and addressing critical local needs.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place at the Glassworks Site in Perkasie with community leaders, business partners, volunteers and state representatives joining together to celebrate this milestone. This latest award brings the total community investment in the Glassworks Site to over $4 million, including private contributions, volunteer hours and donated materials, demonstrating how the Neighborhood Assistance Program leverages private investment to transform communities.

The award, designated under the program’s Special Program Priorities, SPP category, provides participating businesses with a 90 percent Pennsylvania tax credit and will support continued renovation of the four building Glassworks Site, transforming the site into a fully operational community hub serving at risk and vulnerable families across Bucks and Montgomery counties.

“This NAP award is a significant step forward for this project and the community it serves,” said Derek Loux, Co-Executive Director of Kingdom Patrons. “We are grateful for the Commonwealth’s support and the opportunity to continue building something that will have lasting impact for families across our region.”

Building on the successful completion of Phase 1, this next phase will expand the site’s ability to support critical community needs. The Glassworks Site, once a cornerstone of Perkasie’s industrial history, is being carefully restored to once again serve as a place where the community gathers and opportunity is created for future generations. One of the campus buildings just celebrated a grand opening on Friday, March 20, for the Revivals Thrift store. In partnership with Revivals, the project will allow for the expansion of core programs addressing food insecurity, mental and behavioral health, education and community support services.

“This project reflects what can happen when a community comes together around a shared mission,” added John Wahlers, Co-Executive Director of Kingdom Patrons. “We have seen incredible support from local businesses, volunteers and partners who believe in their community and the long-term impact of this campus.”

The Neighborhood Assistance Program encourages private investment in projects that improve distressed areas and expand services for low-income residents. With Phase 2 funding secured and construction underway, Kingdom Patrons is on track to complete the project and deliver lasting impact for the region.
