A single-vehicle crash in Warrington Township Thursday night knocked down a utility pole and forced the closure of a busy roadway.
The crash occurred around 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Upper State Road and Bristol Road. According to initial reports, a driver of a black Infiniti sedan struck a pole along Upper State Road just before the intersection, splitting it in half and sending debris into the roadway.
Emergency crews shut down Upper State Road in both directions at Bristol Road as responders worked to secure the scene and address the damaged utility infrastructure.
One person was evaluated at the scene by EMS. Officials have not released additional details on injuries.
Units from New Britain Township Police, Warrington Township Police, Warrington Fire Company and Chal-Brit EMS responded to the incident.
