This story’s "a pisser." Literally.
The region may have its own Bucks County Banksy – only this artist prefers bathrooms without walls and canvases made of sidewalk.
Some graffiti artists leave paint. Others leave chalk. This Instagram imp? They may just be leaving pee.
In an odd trend of performance art and "masterpiss theater," one anonymous user going by the name of “buckscountypisser” is either spewing water bottles for show or "live-streaming" their bladder control (or lack thereof) on social media video posts.
With seven posts between Sept. 6 and Sept. 23, the self-proclaimed "Bucks County Pisser" has flushed out 6,452 followers as of the time of publication.
The "Bucks County Pisser" and similar social media accounts show a person appearing to urinate, or imitate doing so, in the overnight hours outside recognizable locations, including the Mercer Museum in Doylestown Borough, Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Bristol Township, Pennsbury High School in Falls Township, Council Rock High School in Newtown Township, and Neshaminy High School in Middletown Township.
Nearly every video uses a snippet of the theme from the Showtime series "Dexter," along with a quote from the show from actor Michael C. Hall as the protagonist serial killer, "Tonight's the night. And it's going to happen, again and again."
“We are aware of the reported social media trend of urinating or pretending to urinate in public, but not aware of any investigations by police,” said Bucks County District Attorney’s Office Director of Communications Manuel Gamiz Jr.
Police in Newtown Township and several municipalities said they were aware of the videos, while several others said they were not aware or had few details to provide.
Local school districts were also aware of the videos, sources said.
One police official, who was not authorized to speak on the incidents, said the videos appear to be pranks and it is not even clear if the liquid in the video is urine.
No charges had been filed against anyone, police said.
While videos were posted by one or more people in recent weeks, it is unclear when the videos were recorded.
Urination Imitation
Yet, this micturition maven is not No. 1.
Wannabe whizzers have been reported at Penn State’s main campus, as The Centre Daily Times stated, “armed with a full bladder and a cellphone,” and also at Temple University.
According to the article, the viral Penn State posts have been viewed nearly half a million times.
It is believed the Penn State Pisser’s ID has been "leaked," as there have been no posts since Sept. 8, according to the newspaper. In the report, Penn State police spokeswoman Jackie Sheader said the department is “aware of the individual and the social media page, and the situation is being investigated by the department.”
