It’s Tuesday again, and we all definitely need a break from all our worries. Just a short drive away, downtown Philadelphia is equipped with everything you need to lighten your burdens for just a little while. John Candy Documentary and Special Q&A

On Wednesday, September 24, 7 p.m., John Candy fans will have the chance to watch a new documentary about the beloved star, John Candy: I Like Me and then stay for a special Q&A session with Ryan Reynolds and friends and family members of John Candy at the Miller Theater.

John Candy: I Like Me – An Evening with Ryan Reynolds & Friends is presented by Clearly Canadian. Net proceedings from the screening will go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Mt. Joy at TD Pavilion at The Mann

On Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27, 8:30 p.m., Philadelphia native indie-rock band, Mt. Joy will be hitting the stage at the TD Pavilion at The Mann Center for Performing Arts.

The band first formed in 2016 and consists of Matt Quinn (vocals, guitar), Sam Cooper (guitar), Jackie Miclau (keys, piano), Sotiris Eliopoulos (drums), and Michael Byrnes (bass).

Viagra Boys at Franklin Music Hall

From Saturday, September 27, 8 p.m., Swedish post-punk band Viagra Boys will be stopping by Franklin Music Hall as part of The Infinite Anxiety Tour of 2025.

The band first formed in Stockholm in 2015 and is known for its satirical and darkly comic lyrics.
