An Upper Black Eddy, Bucks County man with three prior retail theft convictions is facing felony retail theft and misdemeanor charges after police said he stole snakeskin boots and clothing from a Montgomery Township store over the summer, and then came back a month later.
According to a criminal complaint filed Sept. 10, 2025, by Montgomery Township Police, Mark Rawle, 67, of the 1800 block of Narrows Hill Road, allegedly concealed two shirts and two pairs of boots inside a reusable bag while inside Boot Barn at 1221 Knapp Road on July 22.
Store alarms sounded as he left without paying, police said.
A manager told officers one of the stolen items—a pair of black-and-white python-skin boots valued at $330 —was identified from the store’s inventory, according to the complaint.
Police said Rawle matched surveillance images from the theft when he returned to the store on Sept. 6, at which point staff identified him as the suspect.
Rawle is free on $5,000 unsecured bail and has a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Andrea Duffy on Nov. 18.
At present, Rawle awaits two separate preliminary hearings in Bucks County district court: one on felony burglary, theft and receiving stolen property charges out of Haycock Township, filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Dublin in June for an April 25, 2025 incident, and the second for felony retail theft and receiving stolen property charges on Aug. 6, 2025 in Warminster Township.
He is free on $25,000 unsecured bail in the Warminster incident and $5,000 unsecured on the Haycock Township arrest.
Rawle is represented by Thomas Logan, of Doylestown.
