PHOTOS: Free shredding event in Hilltown helped combat identity theft for residents

State Rep. Shelby Labs held a free shredding event to prevent identity theft on Saturday morning at Grasse Elementary School at 600 Rickert Road in Hilltown Township.

Residents brought paper, checks, bills, manila folders and other old documents containing personal information to the event. Staff were on hand to remove items from peoples’ vehicles.

Businesses were ineligible for the event. Phonebooks, books, newspapers, magazines, laminated paper and the like were not accepted at the shredding event.
