The Buckingham Township Police Department is recognizing one of its own after Corporal Kevin Myslinski successfully graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Leadership Development Training Program.

The program, hosted at the Pennsylvania State Police Southeast Training Center, is considered an elite professional development course and is modeled after the West Point Leadership Program used by the U.S. military. Over the course of three intensive weeks, students are instructed by state troopers who specialize in leadership case studies.

According to the department, the training teaches participants to analyze personal and organizational challenges, connect them to established leadership theory, and apply practical solutions. Each participant must pass every section of the program to be eligible for graduation.

Officials said Myslinski’s completion of the program is both a personal achievement and a benefit to the department, as graduates are expected to bring advanced leadership skills back to their agencies.

The department encouraged the community to join them in congratulating Cpl. Myslinski on the accomplishment.
