Warrington Police have arrested two juveniles Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery that occurred before the start of the school year.
Police said the investigation began after they received a cyber tip from the Pennsylvania State Police regarding a video posted on social media, which appeared to show an armed robbery involving juveniles.
The incident was determined to have taken place at the Valley Square Shopping Center in Warrington, police said.
The video was flagged by the Pennsylvania State Police Intelligence Center, prompting further investigation. As part of the ongoing investigation, members of the Warrington Township Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Bradford Avenue in Warrington Township at about 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The warrant was related to the robbery, during which two juveniles—ages 12 and 14—allegedly held a juvenile victim at gunpoint and stole personal belongings. Both juvenile suspects were taken into custody at the scene without incident.
They are both being detained at the Bucks County Edison Juvenile Detention Center awaiting their intake hearing, police said.
This is an ongoing active criminal investigation. Police would not release names of the involved parties.
