A Philadelphia man is facing felony charges after police said he stole thousands of dollars in fuel through unauthorized transactions while working for a U-Haul location in Warrington.
According to Warrington Township Police, officers were called to U-Haul, 226 Titus Avenue, on Aug. 28, 2023, for a reported employee theft. Management told officers that Mark Chamberlain, 43, of Philadelphia, had been terminated earlier that day following an internal investigation.
Investigators determined Chamberlain had allegedly been making unauthorized fuel purchases for a two-month period. Police said he conducted more than 115 transactions totaling more than $9,600 before being caught.
A warrant was later issued for Chamberlain’s arrest. On Sept. 1, 2025, he turned himself in to police. He was processed and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge O’Neill, who set bail at $30,000 unsecured.
Chamberlain is charged with felony access device fraud, felony theft, and felony receiving stolen property. Court records show he was released on bail pending a Sept. 29 preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
