A Warminster man is facing multiple charges after police said he stabbed a man during a backyard party and was restrained by guests until officers arrived.
Thomas Jeffery Gero, 43, of the 300 block of Fir Street, Warminster, was charged Sept. 7, 2025 with two counts of aggravated assault, along with misdemeanor counts of simple assault, possessing an instrument of crime, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and summary harassment, according to a criminal complaint filed by Warminster Township Police.
Police said they were dispatched at 10:11 p.m. Sept. 6 to a home on Madison Avenue for a report of an unwanted subject and stabbing. When officers arrived, they found Gero held down by several men, who told police Gero had attacked a family member with a knife, police said. The victim suffered a deep wound to his upper left shoulder and cuts near his ear, investigators said in the complaint.
According to police, witnesses said Gero approached the backyard fence complaining of loud music. Guests invited him to join the party, gave him food and soda, and spoke with him for about an hour before he allegedly pulled out a large knife and tried to stab the victim in the neck, police said.
Family members wrestled the weapon away and restrained Gero until officers arrived.
Central Bucks EMS treated the victim at the scene before transporting him to Doylestown Hospital for further care, according to authorities. Police said the knife was recovered as evidence.
Gero was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Thomas Jeffery Gero and remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $200,000 cash bail, according to court records. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 20 before Magisterial District Judge Christopher E. O’Neill.
