Pennridge continued its hot start to the season Friday night, improving to 4-0 with a 14-0 road win at Pennsbury. The Rams leaned on a physical ground game and stout defense to hand the Falcons their fourth straight loss.
According to The Trentonian, senior running back Ryan Rowe powered the offense, rushing for 126 yards on 13 carries, including a 4-yard touchdown in the second quarter that proved to be the game-winner.
Rowe broke off runs of 44 and 46 yards to set up scoring opportunities, helping the Rams control field position. Michael Ferguson added the insurance score in the third quarter on a 10-yard sweep that capped an 80-yard drive, according to the gameplay report.
Pennridge’s defense smothered Pennsbury throughout the night, limiting the Falcons to just 74 rushing yards and two first downs through three quarters. The Rams also capitalized on Falcon miscues, recovering multiple fumbles to halt Pennsbury’s best scoring chances, according to the article.
Quarterback Noah Keating was held mostly in check, completing six passes for 42 yards, but the passing attack was not needed as Pennridge’s rushing attack and defensive dominance carried the night.
“Good teams find a way to win when they don’t play their best,” Rowe told The Trentonian afterward, crediting the Rams’ blocking and team chemistry.
The 4-0 start marks Pennridge’s best since 2020, when the team opened with six straight wins. The Rams will look to extend their run next week as conference play heats up.
