Ben Franklin said, "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy," and Lansdale will once again prove that when many loved, happy beer drinkers gather at Memorial Park on Saturday for the 14th annual Lansdale Beer Tasting Festival.
After all: You cannot spell “Lansdale” without the “ale.”
The festival will party from 1 to 5 p.m. at Memorial Park, 300 W. Main St. The event brings together craft breweries from across the region, along with food vendors and live entertainment, all to raise money for Discover Lansdale’s restoration of the historic Lansdale Freight House.
Plenty to sample
General admission tickets ($60) include a 5-ounce glass for unlimited tastings.
For those who want the full experience, VIP admission ($100) opens the gates an hour early at noon and includes access to a VIP Lounge Tent with food provided by El Limon of Lansdale, exclusive drink options, and even a “V-I-Potty.”
Designated driver tickets ($20) include entry and access to a special lounge with snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. Tickets are on sale through Friday.
Brewers can still register through Thursday, and a $10 event T-shirt is available for purchase.
Music, food, and good company
The afternoon will feature music from Mike Greer & Company and DJ Tone Arm, plus plenty of food pairings to go along with the beers. Organizers said moving the event later in the season should help keep crowds cooler, but no less thirsty.
Parking is available at Memorial Park, along Park Drive and Penn Street, and in the Penndale Middle School lots. The festival is also walkable from the nearby Pennbrook and Lansdale train stations.
Sponsors this year are Remington & Vernick Engineers, Ring Consulting Group, P.C., Soleil Luna Hair Salon, Henning’s Trains, El Limon Mexican Taqueria, and Erhardt Mechanical Inc. Sheet Metal Fabrication.
