Plumstead Township Police and the township’s Parks and Recreation Department will host Community Day this Saturday at Hanusey Park, offering a mix of family activities, demonstrations and community engagement.
The free event runs from 3 to 6 p.m. and will feature local businesses, food trucks, public safety displays and a “Touch a Truck” area with vehicles from public works and fire departments.
Visitors will also be able to meet K-9 Granite from the Central Bucks Regional Police Department at 3:15 p.m., watch a Temple Med Flight helicopter landing at 4 p.m., take part in a sound bath demonstration at 4:45 p.m. and see an Alpha K-9 Search and Recovery presentation at 5:30 p.m.
Throughout the afternoon, the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department will provide child fingerprinting services, the Plumstead Explorers will run a cash-only 50/50 raffle, and Wags Rescue will be on hand with adoptable dogs. Skip’s Chicken will serve food, and the Young Marines and Doylestown Pickleball will provide information and demonstrations.
The township said this marks its first official Community Day after a prior attempt was postponed. Organizers encouraged residents to come out for an afternoon of fun, giveaways and community connection.
After the main event concludes, families are invited to stay for Movie Night at 7 p.m., featuring a screening of “IF.”
