A New Britain Borough man has been charged with felony counts of possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communications device for allegedly sharing child sexual abuse materials on Snapchat.

Devin Albert Wood, 22, of the 4100 block of Landisville Road, was charged by Bucks County detectives Oct. 21 for alleged offenses that occurred in January 2025.

On May 27, 2025, detectives received an email alert Cypertip from Snapchat related to child pornography, according to the complaint. The report stated that a Snapchat user saved, shared or uploaded CSAM on Jan. 30, 2025, consisting of three videos, police said.

The videos depicted prepubescent females exposing themselves, according to the complaint.

Snapchat provided account information from the user who allegedly uploaded the videos, which was traced to Wood via his email and username. Comcast was subpoenaed for IP address details, which came back to a home on the 100 block of Carousel Circle in New Britain Borough, police said.

AT&T was subpoenaed for the phone number associated with the Cybertip, which listed the financial party as Wood’s residence, police said.

On June 20, 2025, a search warrant was issued for Snapchat’s data, police said, which was linked to Wood’s account.

Then, on Aug. 1, at 10:08 a.m., Plumstead Township Police stopped Wood in his car on Stony Lane and executed a search warrant on his phone and seized it at the traffic stop, according to the affidavit.

Wood was told about the search warrant and was free to leave, police said. He was asked by police if he had a Snapchat account, and he told them he did "a while ago, but not one currently," according to the complaint.

"Wood admitted to looking at pornography but never child pornography," police wrote in the affidavit. "Wood stated there would be nothing on his phone."

When asked about the Carousel Circle address, Wood allegedly told police it was the home of a friend. This friend then called authorities, who informed them of the situation with Wood's phone, per the complaint.

The friend told police the IP address used to upload the child sexual abuse materials was listed to their mother, according to the complaint. Furthermore, the friend told police Wood had a Snapchat account, but it was blocked.

Wood is free on $50,000 unsecured bail, set by Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 23 before Armitage. He is represented by Trevose attorney Paul Lang.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
