A Hilltown Township man has been charged with sexual extortion of a minor, sexual abuse of child, possession of child pornography and other offenses for allegedly having an online relationship with a Colorado girl, beginning in 2019, in a case investigated by the FBI.
Derek Andrew Guzman, 24, of the 1200 block of Keystone Drive, Hilltown Township, was charged by Bucks County detectives Monday with the following felonies: Two counts of sexual abuse of children by permitting a child to engage in sexual acts that may be photographed, videotaped, depicted or filmed, two counts of contact with a minor for sexual abuse, two counts of sexual extortion, two counts of criminal use of a communications device, disseminating videos or photos of child sex acts, possession of child pornography, and two misdemeanor counts of criminal coercion by threatening to expose secrets, according to charging documents.
On Aug. 21, 2025, detectives received details from the FBI relating to the reported solicitation of child sexual abuse material from a minor and extortion of a minor by a Bucks County man, alleged to be Guzman, according to the affidavit.
On Dec. 6, 2022, the older sister of the Colorado Springs, CO victim reported to police that in 2019, when her sister was 15, she began communicating online with a man, alleged to be Guzman, according to the complaint.
Authorities alleged the communications between Guzman and the victim began with obtaining nude photos of the girl, with Guzman allegedly telling the girl that if she did not continue to produce content for him, then he was going to start to share images of the victim with her family.
The victim, over the years, saved the communications with Guzman, once she turned 18, on her Instagram and took photos of them together with her sister’s phone, police said. Guzman allegedly used the moniker “Haley Lee” on Instagram.
In his alleged demands, Guzman specified what the victim should wear in the videos, how she moved, what faces she made, and how many likes and followers she gets for the content uploaded to TikTok. He allegedly forced her to make two separate videos each time: one for TikTok and one for “his version” in which she was nude. Guzman allegedly set view “goals” for the victim to reach on social media.
By October 2022, Guzman and the victim had allegedly been interacting for two years, when the victim was 16, authorities said.
The victim was interviewed by FBI agents on Aug. 24, 2023 via telephone, where she told authorities she began talking with Guzman when she was 15, adding him as a friend on Snapchat at first, according to the complaint.
“He had made her create hundreds of videos and photographs over the years,” detectives wrote in the complaint. “He would tell her on numerous occasions she was done creating content for him, only to come back and say he wanted her to make additional videos.”
In November 2023, agents received the cell phone allegedly used to capture conversations, which included an “expansive catalogue” of photographs and videos sent to Guzman by the victim, police said. The earliest of the images was dated November 2019, per the complaint.
Investigators allegedly found more than 30 images in a folder labeled “My Eyes Only” in the “Memories” section on Snapchat, accessible from swiping up from the bottom of the screen.
All in all, more than 100 images were sent to Guzman between 2019 and 2022, detectives said.
Detectives located and used Guzman’s Snapchat account’s IP address information, which showed it registered to “Kyle Portle,” according to the affidavit. Then, detectives traced the IP addresses to the internet service provider, in this case, Verizon. Account information traced back to Guzman’s address, phone and real name, detectives said.
Once obtaining Instagram account details of the victim, detectives allegedly found conversations with Guzman, consisting of 2,511 messages between January and March 2021.
Detectives said Snapchat account records showed alleged conversations between Guzman and other users, wherein Guzman negotiated the purchases of nude images and videos from other Snapchat users via Venmo and CashApp.
In the investigation, a second victim was uncovered, who allegedly conversed with Guzman via Snapchat when she was 15 in July 2022, and whom he also allegedly extorted.
This is the second Keystone Drive resident in Hilltown to be charged with child sexual abuse materials offenses; Saige Gelegonya, of the 500 block, awaits a preliminary hearing on accusations of possessing more than 2,000 child sexual abuse materials.
Guzman remains jailed in Bucks County on 10% of $1 million cash bail, ahead of a Dec. 2 preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
