Dog rescued, couple safe after Montgomery Township house fire Saturday afternoon

A dog was rescued and its two best friends safely evacuated from a mobile home fire at the Village of Neshaminy Falls in Montgomery Township Saturday afternoon.

The fire call came in at 4:43 p.m. at 170 Hillside Court, near Neshaminy Falls Circle, at the 55-and-older community, reporting flames in the kitchen and heavy black smoke in the double-wide mobile home. Firefighters from more than 15 agencies worked together to get the fire under control within 15 minutes and even rescued the pup.

Responding units included Warrington Fire Co., Hilltown Township Fire Co., Chalfont Fire Co., Hartsville Fire Co., Norriton Fire Engine Co., Fairmount Fire Co., Upper Gwynedd Fire, Hatfield Fire Co., numerous VMSC Emergency Medical Services units, Centre Square Fire Co., Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Colmar Fire Co., and Horsham Fire Co.
