Former Golden State Warriors general manager and four-time NBA champion executive Bob Myers is leaving ESPN to become the president of sports for Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, according to Adam Schefter.

It is a full-time role that will allow Myers to work remotely from California but still make regular appearances at HBSE businesses. The Harris-Blitzer sports portfolio includes the Sixers, New Jersey Devils, Crystal Palace FC and the Joe Gibbs Racing NASCAR team.

Myers is working with the entire ownership group, a source told On Pattison on Friday morning. His role will encompass all the teams in the portfolio, affording Myers a footprint in numerous sports.

His role will include developing best practices in sports operations, according to a source familiar with the business. Myers will also advise ownership on strategic initiatives, they added.

Myers has been a trusted resource to Josh Harris as he's assumed control of the Washington Commanders, and now he's a high-ranking executive with the management company Harris co-founded with David Blitzer.
