A female driver was taken into custody and a male passenger was transported from the scene following a single car crash in New Britain Township Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports from the scene, the driver of a black Lexus sedan crashed into a stop sign at Brittany and Hampshire drives in the township around 4 p.m., went about 100 yards across a front yard, continued back onto Hampshire Drive before hitting a utility pole.
The crash brought down electrical wires and interrupted power in the area.
Chalfont Fire, New Britain Township Police and Chal-Brit EMS responded to the scene.
